Conditions of Booking

TARIFF
|
The advertised room rates are for guidance. At peak periods, e.g race meets, the rate will increase. Equally, in quiet times of the year, a discount may be offered, especialy if you stay for more than one night. |
SECURITY
|
Credit or debit card details, including expiry date and last three digits of the security code must be provided before a reservation can be confirmed. Tthis measure is to act as security. NOTE: Your card is not charged at this time: Some guests wrongly presume they have already paid. |
CANCELLATION
|
In normal circumstances a penalty-free cancellation can be made if more than 24 hours before the reservation take-up.
If you cancel with less notice than 24 hours, then we reserve the right to charge for the first night, unless we can successfully re-let the room.
At other times, e.g. race meetings, this cancellation notice period may be varied, but you will be informed.
We reserve the right to cancel a booking if necessary, with adequate notice and a full refund. |
PETS
|
Pets are not accepted, as we have two spaniels. Of course, guide dogs are excepted. |
SMOKING
|
The guest house has a strict no-smoking policy throughout. If a guest chooses to ignore this policy, we reserve the right to charge for an extra night to allow deep-cleaning to remove the smell of smoke. |
DISABLED ACCESS
|
Owing to the nature of the building, no special provision can be made for wheelchairs. We have no bedrooms on the ground floor. However, the elderly, who might have difficulty in negotiating normal stairs, sometimes find that the Victorian steps are quite low-rise.

PARKING
|
Our car-park is free and has space for six vehicles. No responsibility is accepted for vehicles parked in our car-park.
If the car-park is full, you can park in Eldon Road to the side, which has no parking restrictions.

CHECK IN &
CHECK OUT TIMES
|
Check in is preferably after 4.00 p.m. unless by other arrangement (e.g. because you have an earlier wedding) and before 9.30 p.m. Please ask.
Check out by 11.00 a.m. latest. |
